Altered

Hello Crafters,

This week at: http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/ the Challenge is to do something altered. Since I am not real good with altered art when I got home tonight from work I decided to just sit down and first thing I saw I had to do something with it. The second picture of this post is what I found and the post is what I did to it.
This may not be altered but it is what I did.

http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/

What I found was a 5x7 empty photo frame that has been laying around for years.  So I decided it needed a new place and a new look. I left the glass off so the picture might turn out better.  You still can't see the awesome gold glittery tulle that is over the whole 5x7 frame.
Products used:

Heartfelt Creations Paper Collection "Floral Key" which is the background
Poem from Heather Black - copied and torn edges and aged with Tim Holtz - Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
CTMH - Gems Topaz
Everything else is from my stash:  Wooden button, Hat pin, different ribbon and laces
Wyla - Golden glitter Tulle

Quick and sweet and now the picture frame has a place in my home with something to offer everyone.

Pretty homely except for the reflection of my kitchen light.

Nature 1

Hello Crafters,

Nothing like waiting until the last minute to post my card which was done during the week. Wow I don't know where the time goes. I had made a purple card last week for the Challenge at: http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/, so I still had all my purple and white out so when I started working I just kept working and made a total of three cards from the materials I had at hand so I guess I will post all of them. This is the first one:  Challenge is: Something from Nature, purple and white, distressed edges and something purchased from: atmyjoansgardens@yahoo.com all have been covered.

http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/
Card base is white and I outlined the edge with 1/2" double sided tape and used Sprinkle N Sparkle GM2000 Cloud Nine glitter to edge I added distressed edge of a sheet of Graphic 45 Posy Patch paper collection added glitter to the picture and a piece of lace in the upper right hand corner with two feathers tucked in. The Butterfly is a Dream Weaver Stencil which I added purple paint and purple glitter to the Stencil paste and made the butterfly. Sentiment "Celebrate Life" is from two different sources. Although you can't see in the picture I used gold seed beads in the center of the flower which makes it just pop.

Purple Fan

Hello Crafters,

What a week, I didn't realize how much I depend on this old computer, it decided to take a week long vacation and I have been crazy all week. But ole girl is back up and running for now. I made a card for my sister a few weeks ago and thought I would do something different because I didn't really want what I had created to go in a drawer, so I cut the card back off and  added a easel stand on the back of the front of it so it would stand up. When she called me about the card w/easel she was so excited because she could set it on her stand and look at it often because it stood up. So long story I decided to join the challenge over at :http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/ which was very simple to do a stand up card - Use any colors, two layers, and dies only, and something purchased at (www.atmyjoansgardens.com). Here is what I created.

http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/

I started with a 6 x 6 piece of purple glitter card stock given to me by a friend, then I used the 6 x 6 Graphic 45 Secret Garden Paper pack and chose the purple and green pages to create the card. I cut the corners using Cheery Lynn Fancy Corner B431. added the Dicro Fiber under the doily that I created by cutting three of the new Tattered Lace - Oriental Fan die D142. Love the die and wondered if it would make a doily, what do you think? Because it doesn't lay flat (I fan folded it first) it adds dimension. I made the flower used Heartfelt Creations Die Vintage Floret HCD 727 then added flourishes from CL, Magnolia, Poppy Stamps.
Products Used:  HFC - Vintage Floret - HCD 727
Grraphic 45 6 x 6 Secret Garden Paper
Cheery Lynn - Mini Fanceful Flourish B1175
                       Fancy Corner B431
Tattered Lace - Oriental Fan D142
Poppy Stamps -Outline leaves 840
Magnolia Doohickeys - SM12 Summer Foliage
Flower Soft - Crocus
Art Glitter Gala Glitz - Silver
Tombow pens

Eggs

Hello Crafters,

I am having grave difficulties with this computer so please bare with me! I am posting this card for the challenge at : http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/  The challenge is to use Plaid, Stripe or check, any color, and a frame on your image. I have had Easter on my mind so this is what I created.

 http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/

I used Bazzill card stock "Peach" for card base and matting for the eggs. I used Graphic 45 - Secret Garden Sun Kissed striped paper for the background. The peach eggs were die cut from Cheery Lynn - Nesting Stackers Eggs XM18 they were edged with Sprinkle N Sparkle Cloud Nine glitter GM2000. The beautiful lace eggs (Cherry Lynn DL213, DL211 and DL208 were embossed with WOW Fluorescent magenta, Bedacious blue glitter and SNS spring willow 388. The bunnies are impression obsession DIE 168C (which were just given to me by a dear friend-thanks Dar) you can buy them atmyjoansgardens.com. OK back to the card. I covered the bunnies with seed beads pink, green, and blue, added eyes with Pontura Paint. The fence was cut from white card stock used Heartfelt Creations HDC-723 which I glued to the back of my grass cut from Joy 6002/037 (I used a scrap piece of green card stock I had over sprayed with Tim Holtz green spritz). I then pop dotted to the bottom of the card. The squirrel  is from CL Birch Tree w/critters B370 and the "Finch on the fence" was die cut from Memory Box 98527 Resting birds. Finch was glittered with Sprinkle N Sparkle G1038.  The Corners at the top of the card were die cut from Joy 6002/0258 and glittered in Orchid SNS G1097. The Pearl center was Zva Pearls PEW02jCB-104. Green ribbon from stash, which I added over a strip of my favorite dry wall tape. I love the way you can add so many different products together to make a wonderful creation.

Flamingo

Hello Crafters,

This card is for the Challenge at: http://sparklensprinklecreativechallenges.blogspot.com/

http://sparklensprinklecreativechallenges.blogspot.com/

I am having computer problems and I have to say on top of that this is the worst picture I have ever taken
This card is much crisper and brilliant in color just looking at it here is very dull.
All tho you can't tell here the clouds are puffy looking.  I used SNS sticky paper covered it with Cloud Nine GM2000 and stamped SNS stamp #512 Flamingo Bay  into it.  I then colored over the Cloud Nine with Tombow markers. I added a thick layer of glue to the clouds and covered with Cloud Nine again when dry there were puffy and just stand out. The little flamingo I cut out covered with glue and sprinkled what I thought was pink glitter but instead I had picked up Bubble Gum EP. I decided to go ahead and see what would happen before starting over and I actually liked what I saw. It appears that the feathers are standing out some as thought getting ready to take flight. I also thought she looked like a baby not yet fully feathered.
Oh well -the Sentiment: enjoy comes from the SNS stamp set #537 Spring time spunky and PINK is from Spare Parts - Marquee pink plastic letter which I covered with the pink glitter. Ranger black pearls for eyes.
Queen & Company Pink Frosties (pearls).
