Hello Crafters,

I am so excited this is the week a few of us girls get together to share what we have learned, taught, experienced over the past year. This is a fun time, four days of crafting, eating, shopping, eating, laughing, eating. Guess by now you are getting the picture. We all bring our favorite foods and share.
Well best get to posting still have to pack.  This week Joan is having a Challenge: of using a vintage picture or stamp, mix colors of ink together, use a stencil and something that can be purchased at: myjoansgardens
I decided on doing something different as I have be wanting to do something on a canvas for a long time and decided on this:

I got out a canvas and covered with white gesso, let it dry and started spritzing different spray inks -must have played for a couple of hours putting color on taking color off and finally decided on the hue on the canvas. they were all the same color and I wanted to use the stencil but not the usual paste so I put a stencil in the upper left hand corner and started removing the ink, (small paint brush and water). I did the same across the bottom with a stencil I made from a die cut I made with the French collection border.
Wanted something is the other three corners so I had cut a die cut from the poppy stamps die Crochet corner (2 times)for bottom corners and upper right was a corner die from French Collection.  I did  the same system removing color with water. The top right looks marmbled and the bottom two pretty close to the same color. I added the fussy cut flowers from the HFC paper and added some gold  tulle to two of the corners.  The background paper is from HFC Floral key collection, and the Vintage lady is cut from the Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary. I used TH  vintage photo distress ink. Distressed the edges of both pieces for aging.  I added lace at the bottom of the picture ( I only had the lace I wanted to use in pink so I used Adirondack metallic paint Copper & gold mixed  together and painted the lace to match the colors of the canvas.I added some jewel bling to tulle, and areas on open canvas. The feathers on her hat, and her fan are real feathers from a pheasant.  TH - Lock and Key for the gate and a bit of glitter on the flowers. A few white brush strokes for highlight, and a beautiful Butterfly from Cheery Lynn and done. So this is it and my best critics(grandsons) liked it so I posted.
This is a close up so you can see the left hand corner and the stenciling.
and another close up of the stencil at the top.

Oh my goodness Judy this is stunning. I love all the blended colors, textures and so much interest. As beautiful it is on here, I bet it is even more so in real life. Absolutely gorgeous.
Thanks for joining us at Joan's Touch for this challenge.
