Hello everyone,

Joan's 27th Challenge was a real challenge for me - but I have had lots on my plate. So this might be really off. But here goes:

My black pattern paper was black and white so I distressed the white with TH "Spun Sugar" distress ink.
I cut a circle and stickled the edge with TH Distress pink , added DL180 Cheery Lyn Nautical wheeler doily but left the center piece out and embossed with Sizzix Swiss Dot folder a center of light pink card stock.
Then added white B165 Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful flourish (3 pieces)
Sizzix punch leaves, Marianne Design LR0227 for another type leaf, and then put the rose from Spellbinder S4351 spritzed with "Tattered Angel glimmer mist Pink Poodle" along with Cheery Lyn's small Cutie 3 B151 flower also spritzed. Happy Birthday is from Dante's Garden "Sprinkle N Sparkle 392. Corners are CH Lace B165 . Topped off with pink rhinestones.
Most all of the products used came from Joan's - there is no better place to shop in the World.

Hello everyone,

I was making a card for a dear friend and decided to add it to Joan's Challenge this week.  By the way thanks to all of you who post on my blog, still learning but hope to get better soon.  Here goes -

This is not the best snap shot for color - because the yellow is yellow and the green is green anyway
I used the following:

Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set 00-160P4 - Butterflies - for the butterfly and small flowers on corners
Sizzix embossing folder -for the oval
Martha Stewart punch for the boarder
Kaiser pearls - butterfly
Gemstone butterflies which are green - honest

Butterfly was stamped embossed with "Spring Willow" embossing powder by Sparkle N Sprinkle
If you think you are seeing a shadow under the butterfly it is because I dry embossed to look like a shadow
the real card is cool like that.http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge_19.html

Hello all,

Trying to get another post on Joan's Challenge - I think I must be having computer problems (not good) but here goes:

The colors just didn't come out on this card the background is green card stock that I used a background stamp from Delta Stamps and Versa Mark for a pattern. The girl catching butterflies is America Art stamp
colored with TH markers. The flowers at bottom are from the new Memory Box "Summer Boarder" 98338.
I covered the bottom of the die cut with the Flower soft"Pale green" for a more grass look and embossed the flowers after coloring with TH markers as well. This is the greatest border. "Butterfly Wishes" is a stamp from Sprinkle and Sparkle summer set, which I embossed with Paprika Rain embossing powder The note card is from the NEW Joy Crafts die cut 6002/0037 which also embossed and of course it didn't show up very well. Center Big Butterfly is from the new Martha Stewart punch and little BF are from small punches I had. Don't know if you noticed but the little frog is a McGill punch.

Hello again,
I was thinking about a stamp I had gotten at Joan's Garden that I loved but have never used so I decided to use it for a second post on Joan's 25th challenge.

Well as you can see I did not do this card justice but I decided to post anyway - I have got to get out of pre school coloring - LOL. I used Heartfelt Creations  HCPC3371 Dutch Iris Oval PreCut Set, TH markers to color the stamp and then hot aired it, quickly embossed slightly and then used chalk and Sepia glitter pen for the rest. Cut oval in center of green card stock as window for stamped image. Sentiment is from Close to my heart and a bright green brad added to center. Corners are a
Fiskers punch. What I wish you could see better is the find I made at Joan's - The top cream piece is embossed with the Cheery Lyn Double sided plate E164 - It embossed two different ways very cool. Ribbon from stash and there you have it. This is my favorite flower.

Hello All,

I was at Joan's Garden yesterday for a visit with Selma and the gang. What a great day, we each learned about each other some of whom I had never met and found it to be a small world. Joan and Selma were great on sharing their stories as well as a couple if great tips on how to store many of the great metal dies. Oh
and of course lots of eating and shopping. Did I mention shopping! I can't wait until they come back from CHA, to share all their finds. Plus it is time for Joan's 25th challenge: A four layered card -Ivory and green, stamped image and sentiment - here you go.

Although looking white the card is ivory and green.
I used the following products - all from Joan's Garden:

Memory box - Marshmallow Clouds (small) 98344
JustRite Cling -CL02060 (Dragon - sentiment ("Stopping b to say Hi!")
Cuttlebug embossing folder -on Ivory Card
Tim Holtz/Sizzix embossing folder - On both ivory and green card stock
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink - and markers ( peeled paint)

I embossed the edges of all card stock -and spritzing for the dragon.

Hello All,

My posting for this weeks challenge at Joan's.  I have to say I can't hold a candle to Selma but I do dream - and even using most of the same supplies there is still an A to Z difference, but it was fun trying. So this is my take on being close to Selma.

I used the same Swiss dot embossing folder, same Marianne cut/embossing folder, Victorian Rose flourish cut in half and the Tropical flourish (only in green) my lace bottom is my new Martha Stewart "butterfly lace" boarder, which I distressed antenna with TH distressed "Spun Sugar" ink . I used Selma's tutorial for coloring the rose and because I didn't have the bitty roses I used Cheery Lynn Cutie #3 (B151) to make my smaller flowers. I tried something new, to me, which was using the round pliers to twist each petal. I love the way they look. I did spritz them all with Perfect Pearls "Pink Gold" dust.
No Tulle so I added a very sheer bow.Oh and the Pearls.

Since I am all for the good ole RED WHITE & BLUE I added this one since we only do them once a year.

Nothing like Ole Glory and Roses to show off America, well except for apple pie and there wasn't room for it - The flag background is made from some very old ribbon my Mom had. I used Di-dynamics punch as well as their leaf flourish for center. The flowers were made using Spellbinders die cut and Selma's idea for coloring the edges with TH new pens and added a little glitter. GOD BLESS US ALL!
Hello All,

Already the 4th of July - where does the time go?  This is my post for Joan's 24th challenge

Liked doing a 4th card brings out the spirit -It is very simple Red, White & Blue card stock the pinwheels really turn - they were made of stripped paper and points embossed gold with Ranger embossing power.
I used a CM Star punch and a Inkadinkado fireworks stamp again embossed for the decorations. The tag I used Stickers for "USA".
