Challenge 10

Hello All,
I have been so busy this past week and haven't had a change to sit down, and this week isn't looking much better. I am not complaining because I am happy to have the health to go and do. I wanted to try something for Joan and Selma's Challenge -I always do a center pieces of natural clippings/falling from the yard so with that in mind this is what I did:
Believe me this is not my best work and I wasn't going to put it in but here it is. The best I can tell
you is I used an old canvas and distressed inks to make the foundation. Everything else is Cherry Lynn
dies and doilies. Spellbinders, Sizzix.  I used distress inks from Tim Holtz, and lots of glue. LOL

Pizza Box Challenge #9

Hello All,

I absolutely love these type challenges - they are not only adorable but very useful - Thanks Joan and Selma for the opportunity for these challenges. This is my take on Pizza Box.

http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2011/11/this-weeks-challenge.html
I didn't notice until I posted that I used the same paper as Selma I usually try a different paper but we must have the same great taste - LOL
This is band I made for the Pizza Box: I used white glittered card stock for the band - in the center is a piece of green ribbon, leaves are from Heart Felt creations -Petite Poinsettia Set and the fern pieces are HFC Spellbinders. Flower is Tim Holtz double from graphic 45 "Christmas Emporium Collection, with Powder Keg glitter glitz Real Red on folds. The Snow Flake Ornaments are from Memory Box . The center of the flower is a green Pearl.
Inside of the box - same paper line as above.

This was the box before I added the band - Oh and I am very excited it really does come off and goes back on.

Stranger in the woods

Hello all,

As promised my personal reject card - the title comes from a book I read to my grandson's when they stay over, they love the book as I do and this scene reminds me so much of the book.
There are some may different media's I am sure I will not name the all but here goes.

Inks: Adirondack cloud blue, sailboat blue, winter green,
Stamps: Birds -Stampscapes
             Deer/trees - Sunday international
Snowman - Unity itty bitty (stamped and cut out and popped up)
Fence/berries - Penny Black (Jones Garden)
Owl - unknown found in stash -stamped and cut out - bling eyes owl, deer, snowman.
            Corner ornaments are Spellbinders -
I used a snow marker by Marvy and glitter for the snow
That's all folks - as they say - I really like it and it wasn't that much work just lots of different media's.

Hope you like it

Challenge/Magical

Hello all,

I have been so busy - then I was working on the Challenge card and when I finished I realized it wasn't right so I started over: I will show you the wrong card tomorrow, but for today this is for the Challenge:
http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2011/10/this-weeks-challenge.html

Card stock is dark blue with speckles in it, I used a lighter blue for the Doilies DL120 oval for around the center of the card, I used Selma's technique what fun that was -love learning new techniques. The background trees are from a Stampscapes stamp. The snowman and sentiment are from Close to my Heart. I used Adirondack Cloud Blue, and Sailboat blue. Used the new Holly Vine from Memory box (which I love their products) and you can get them from Joan's Garden. I did make the little flowers from the flower punches that Joan also has. I used a small Christmas Ornament stamp(?)embossed in deep red for corners of card. This for me was challenging but oh so much fun. Thanks Selma and Joan.
